Welcome to MCLAB
Welcome to the Monte Carlo Laboratory (MCLAB).
Our laboratory focuses on Monte Carlo radiation transport simulation and its translation into clinical radiation oncology. Radiation interacts with the human body through countless stochastic events; the Monte Carlo method is the gold standard for modeling this process with the highest achievable accuracy.
Built on this foundation, MCLAB pursues three interconnected goals: developing fast and accurate simulation tools for radiation transport, advancing dose calculation and biological modeling for particle therapy, and establishing patient-specific quality assurance methods that guarantee each patient receives exactly the treatment that was planned.
We welcome students and collaborators who are passionate about computational physics, medical physics, and improving cancer care through simulation science.
